Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.

Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!

I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.

Last Week (July 14 – July 20, 2025):

Last week was very busy. On Monday, my daughter had a follow up doctor’s appointment for her broken toe. Tuesday I was in the office all day finishing up my federal grant application (it pays for my job.) Wednesday, we went to see the new Jurassic World movie, which we enjoyed. On Thursday, we had to go into Boston EARLY for my daughter’s follow up with her spine surgeon. We went out to breakfast after, and then we both got our second ear piercings. The weekend was pretty low key and we enjoyed some great weather.

Weight: I was up 0.8 pounds last week.

Goals: So my first week of trying to get back on track de-railed quickly. Yes, I was very busy on three of the days, but I didn’t do much activity and didn’t track my food at all. I didn’t meet two of my “easy” goals. *SIGH* I’ll try again next week.

Goals for next week: My goal will be to track food 5 days, exercise/move 3 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.

Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!

Goals for last week:

    • Walk/Move 3 days – I walked 2 days and closed my rings 2 days.
    • Track food 3 days – NO DAYS.
    • Limit alcohol 2 days – 2 days.

During 2025 I plan:

  • To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
  • To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
  • To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit?
