Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.
Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!
I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.
Last Week (August 4 – August 10, 2025):
Last Monday, we had a big family “Thanksgiving” dinner because my MIL wanted to cook the turkey she had in her freezer. I didn’t think I’d want that kind of meal when it is so hot outside, but it tasted so good! I had to take both the cats to the vet last week. I tried taking them on separate days in order to help fight their anxiety about being in the car. Wednesday I had a few work Zoom calls, but then went out to dinner with a friend who moved to Florida – she was up here for work. Friday I had a long walk with a friend I hadn’t seen since June. On Saturday, I went to the celebration of life for my boss, then my daughter and I drove to the Philly area to visit my sister and family. Sunday was hot and we spent most of the day at their pool, followed by an excellent grilled dinner. Our mini-vacation went into this week, so I’ll share more about that next check-in.
Weight: I was on vacation for my weekly weigh-in.
Goals: I didn’t do as great last week (and this week too), using “being busy” and “traveling” as excuses.
Goals for next week: My goal will be to track food 5 days, exercise/move 4 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.
Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!
Goals for last week:
-
- Walk/Move 4 days – I walked 3 days and closed my rings 4 days.
- Track food 5 days – 4 days.
- Limit alcohol 2 days – 2 days.
During 2025 I plan:
- To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
- To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
- To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
