Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.
Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!
I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.
Last Week (July 28 – August 3, 2025):
Work was light (I’m on my summer schedule), but our hearts continue to be heavy after the sudden loss of my boss. I helped proofread a wonderful tribute page to my boss, which brought me to tears. I also had lunch with two coworkers on Friday, where we could just get out some of our feelings. My daughter and I had to take her phone to the Apple Store on Wednesday and we made a day of shopping. The neighborhood ladies came by for some wine and to hang out on Friday. My husband and I enjoyed a dinner out on Saturday.
Weight: I was down 0.5 pounds last week.
Goals: I tracked my food six days and I was way over my calories, but probably less than if I hadn’t logged the food. I managed to walk four days, so that is good. I found myself “getting too busy” to walk, which is really an excuse not to exercise.
Goals for next week: My goal will be to track food 5 days, exercise/move 4 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.
Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!
Goals for last week:
-
- Walk/Move 4 days – I walked 4 days and closed my rings 4 days.
- Track food 5 days – 6 days.
- Limit alcohol 2 days – 2 days.
During 2025 I plan:
- To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
- To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
- To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
