Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.

Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!

I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.

Last Week (September 29 – October 5, 2025):

Monday was Tai Chi again. I’m excited because we are starting to learn the full form. On Tuesday I volunteered at the soup kitchen. Thursday morning I drove my husband to his dental surgery appointment and took advantage of the unseasonable weather to walk while he was having his procedure. Friday I was able to go for a long walk with a friend. The weekend was low key. We cooked out with the neighbors both nights.

Weight: I was down 0.2 pounds for the week.

Goals: I did pretty well with my goals last week. I even did restorative yoga one day. Tai Chi and restorative yoga don’t burn the calories like walking and other activities (which is why I don’t close my rings those days), but they are both good for my overall health.

Goals for next week: My goal will be to track food 7 days, exercise/move 5 days and close rings 5 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.

Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!

Goals for last week:

    • Walk/Move 5 days – I moved 6 days and closed my rings 4 days.
    • Track food 7 days – 7 days.
    • Limit alcohol 2 days – 2 days.

During 2025 I plan:

  • To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
  • To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
  • To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit?
