Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.

Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!

I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.

Last Week (September 22 – September 28, 2025):

Monday was Tai Chi. Tuesday I walked with a friend. The rest of the week was pretty quiet. Friday, my husband and I met his cousin her and husband for dinner at a new-to-us place. We had amazing food, drinks, and dessert. The evening was so lovely, we were able to walk along the waterfront after dinner. More moving furniture at church on Saturday. The new carpet project is done! I got my flu and COVID vaccines on Sunday.

Weight: My weight stayed the same last week, but I was down 2.3 pounds for the month of September. This is the first month I didn’t gain weight since March.

Goals: I didn’t stick with my exercise as much as I wanted to last week, and there really wasn’t a reason for keeping up other than being lazy. But I keep at it and am please overall with my progress.

Goals for next week: My goal will be to track food 7 days, exercise/move 5 days and close rings 5 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.

Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!

Goals for last week:

    • Walk/Move 5 days – I moved 4 days and closed my rings 4 days.
    • Track food 7 days – 6 days.
    • Limit alcohol 2 days – 2 days.

During 2025 I plan:

  • To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
  • To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
  • To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit?
