Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.
Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!
I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.
Last Week (November 3 – November 9, 2025):

Monday started with my final beginner’s Tai Chi class. I move up to the on-going “regular” class next week. We had painters all last week and they finished two rooms, including the former playroom. It’s now my favorite space as we converted it into a den/library. I had a work event on Thursday (normally my day off), so I took of work early on Friday and went walking with my friend. Saturday I spent unpacking my books and memorabilia and organizing my new den. I also put back together our family room. The only thing left in those two rooms is the hang the pictures on the walls. I went out for Indian food with my friend for dinner. Sunday was another get together with the neighbors to watch the Patriots, who are surprisingly 8-2 for the season.
Weight: I was down 1.2 pounds for the week.
Goals: It was a pretty good week for my goals. I got in the exercise and mostly ate well.
Goals for next week: My goal will be to track food 7 days, exercise/move 5 days and close rings 5 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.
Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!
Goals for last week:
-
- Walk/Move 5 days – I moved 5 days and closed my rings 4 days.
- Track food 4 days – 7 days.
- Limit alcohol 2 days – 3 days.
During 2025 I plan:
- To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
- To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
- To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
