Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.
Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!
I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.
Last Week (November 10 – November 16, 2025):
Last Monday was my introduction to the on-going Tai Chi group. There are about a dozen or so people. Most have been doing Tai Chi for one or two years. I am already learning new things. Our office was closed on Tuesday for Veterans’ Day. I worked about my house and got lots done. My husband was traveling until Thursday, so I had a quiet week. I did continue to put back together my home as the painters finished each room, and they were done on Friday. On Saturday, I attended a workshop at my church in the morning and then we went to my in-laws to celebrate both my brother-in-law and my husband’s birthdays. Sunday was the actual day of my husband’s birthday. He went golfing in the cold because it was the last day the course would be open. We had sandwiches for dinner and ice cream for dessert.
Weight: I was up 0.6 pounds for the week.
Goals: Overall it was a good week. but I ate a lot of extra food on Saturday and Sunday.
Goals for next week: My goal will be to track food 7 days, exercise/move 5 days and close rings 5 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.
Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!
Goals for last week:
-
- Walk/Move 5 days – I moved 5 days and closed my rings 5 days.
- Track food 7 days – 6 days.
- Limit alcohol 2 days – 2 days.
During 2025 I plan:
- To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
- To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
- To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
