Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.

Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!

I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.

Last Week (December 15 – December 21, 2025):

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

This is an abbreviated post because I’m on vacation now. But last week started with Tai Chi, followed by a visit to the doctor for my daughter (annual follow up stuff). On Tuesday, we celebrated Christmas with my in-laws since we will be out of town for the holidays. Wednesday was my last day of work of the year! We also had our staff holiday party. Thursday was filled with getting ready for our trip. My son came home from college, too. On Friday, we flew to Florida to visit my parents for the week. I’ll share more about our trip next week.

Weight: I did not weigh in because I am on vacation.

Goals: As I mentioned last week, I’m not doing great with my goals. My goal for vacation and until the end of the year is to try and move 10 minutes each day.

Goals for next week: My goal will be to track food 7 days, exercise/move 5 days and close rings 5 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.

Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!

Goals for last week:

    • Walk/Move 5 days
    • Track food 7 days
    • Limit alcohol 2 days

During 2025 I plan:

  • To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
  • To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
  • To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit?
