Welcome to #FitReaders2026!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.
Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!
I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.
Last Week (March 16 – March 22, 2026):
I started the week getting my teeth cleaned and then went to Tai Chi. I also had therapy for my elbow/shoulder. I had OT again on Wednesday and noticed that I’ve been able to increase my range of motion in my shoulders. On Thursday, I took a teen friend who was home from college out for breakfast. On Friday, I went out to dinner at to see Project Hail Mary with friends. The movie was delightful and a very good adaptation of the book (which I loved!) My son was home over the weekend for a job interview in neighboring Maine. It was nice to spend a little time with him. Saturday was my neighbor’s birthday, and a group of us surprised her with lunch. Sunday was quiet. I was able to do a bit of reading after church.
Weight: My weight was down 2.5 pounds last week.
Goals: I really stuck to my goals and made a honest effort last week, which showed up on the scale. I know if I don’t keep it up, I will gain it all back very quickly. I tracked my food on six days and was under my caloric intake on three days. I had one alcoholic drink. I exercised on five days. I also called and made an appointment to see my doctor regarding my weight gain.
- To move with purpose for a minimum of 20 minutes per day.
- To track food intake for 4-5 days.
- To limit alcohol consumption.
- To read a daily meditation/devotional.
Call doctor about weight gain.Appointment in April!
During 2026 I plan:
- To be mindful of a healthy relationship with food. I will do this by being thoughtful of my food choices when I grocery shop, work from home, and eat out.
- To move and be mindful. I will do this by finding ways to integrate movement and options for mental wellbeing into my life. I will set weekly or monthly goals to help me achieve a better fitness balance.
- To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
