Welcome to #FitReaders2026!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.

Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!

I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.

Last Week (March 23 – March 29, 2026):

Once again, I started my week with Tai Chi. Monday afternoon I had a work meeting for several hours. Overall my week was pretty quiet. I had a couple OT sessions for my elbow and shoulder, and I got my hair colored and cut. On Saturday, a group of us went out to celebrate recent birthdays. Sunday I went to Boston to see the musical Suffs. It was a very uplifting show about the Women’s Suffrage movement.

Weight: My weight was up 0.6 pounds last week, but I was down 1.2 pounds for the month of March.

Goals: Last week wasn’t as strong as the week before. I only tracked my food for 4 days, and I was under my calories on only one of those days. I only moved 4 days, but closed my fitness rings 5 days. I find that once I have a “bad” day, I tend to let it bleed into the rest of the days for the week. For example, I ate a lot of pizza on Friday, and didn’t track it. Then I had the mind set on Saturday not to bother with my goals since I already “ruined” the week. Not very healthy.

  • To move with purpose for a minimum of 20 minutes per day.
  • To track food intake for 4-5 days.
  • To limit alcohol consumption.
  • To read a daily meditation/devotional.
  • Call doctor about weight gain. Appointment in April!

During 2026 I plan:

  • To be mindful of a healthy relationship with food. I will do this by being thoughtful of my food choices when I grocery shop, work from home, and eat out.
  • To move and be mindful. I will do this by finding ways to integrate movement and options for mental wellbeing into my life. I will set weekly or monthly goals to help me achieve a better fitness balance.
  • To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
