========
The Guild Hunter series began 18 books ago with a mortal hunter taking on and ultimately falling for a powerful archangel, and so it is only right that it also concludes with Elena and Raphael’s immortal romance. The story begins 300 years after Illium’s ascension and one thousand years since Elena was angel-made. The world has experienced peace and the Cadre of Ten has been stable for centuries. But life for our power couple turns upside down when they discover Elena is pregnant.
Archangel’s Eternity wraps up the Guild Hunter series in a solid package with a beautiful bow. It truly is a gift for Singh’s readers. The story spans several decades, following Elena’s pregnancy and birth of their child. There are moments of tension throughout the book, but it’s always simmering and never explosive. The conflicts are emotional in nature. Raphael grapples with becoming a father, knowing the madness that plagued his own father. The fear is real and gripping, and I appreciate the support he receives as he faces his future.
Additional conflicts arise due to arguing Archangels and a change in the composition of the Cadre. We also catch up with several of the Seven and other supporting characters. There is a reunion several centuries in the making that brought me to tears.
Overall, I enjoyed Archangel’s Eternity which gives closure to an excellent series. I was a little disappointed at the low-stakes nature of the story. At times it dragged and felt like a century-long “day in the life” feature. But in the end, it was a charming tale, and I absolutely loved where the series ends.

About the Book:
It’s been a millennium since Elena’s fateful first meeting with Archangel Raphael. She has survived war and loss, experienced beauty and cruelty. But no matter what, she has always held on to her mortal heart, as she and Raphael have held on to each other. Passionate and vibrant, they’ve built a life that has stood the test of time, growing ever stronger with each turn of the sun.
But change is coming—of a magnitude they could have never imagined—and it will forever alter the trajectory of their existence.
Even as they grapple with the cataclysmic shift in their personal lives, the Cadre of Ten, which has maintained a hard-won peace for centuries, begins to simmer with dangerous fault lines. The specter of madness looms in one archangel, the promise of war burns between two others, and in darkness far from mortal and immortal eyes stirs an ancient, slumbering power.
Suddenly, the future is terrifyingly uncertain . . . at the very moment that Elena and her archangel need to protect a treasure infinitely more precious than eternity.
