As a romance author who writes about football players who own a cupcake shop, I’m often asked what my favorite cupcake flavor is. As someone who’s done extensive research on the topic (accuracy and fact checking are extremely important, wouldn’t you agree?), the truth is that is a nearly impossible question to answer because they’re all delicious.

However, I am a woman of the people and thought it would be fun to recommend cupcake flavors based on astrological signs. Bonus: if you read this entire post, you’ll learn what my sign is and what my personal favorite flavor is! Who could possibly turn that down, right?!

P. S. I’m not an astrology expert. My descriptions of the signs came directly from this Allure article. So if I get something wrong about your sign, please show me mercy!

Aries (March 21 – April 19): For the bold and ambitious Aries, I recommend the Mexican hot chocolate cupcake because of its combination of chocolate cake and cinnamon. Adding Chipotle spice takes the dessert to the next level.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20):  Strawberry shortcake cupcakes are perfect for Taureans, who enjoy serene environments and soothing aromas. The lightness of the vanilla sponge cake mixed with the sweetness of the strawberry topper is the definition of a comforting classic.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Geminis are spontaneous, playful, and insanely curious, which makes the snickerdoodle cupcake perfect for them. It’s a cinnamon cookie in cupcake form! Who says no?

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Cancers are known for their hard shells and sweet interiors, which makes s’mores cupcakes perfect for them. S’mores cupcakes come with a graham cracker crust base and topper, but marshmallows are found in between!

Leo (July 23 – August 22): For the theatrical and passionate Leos, I give you the death by chocolate cupcake, which is a dramatic way of saying chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate. This cupcake has chocolate chips hidden inside, is topped with dark chocolate buttercream, and is encrusted in dark chocolate curls.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Virgos are logical, practical perfectionists. They want the most bang for their buck, which means they’re always ready with red velvet cream cheese cupcakes.  It’s a safe choice for your audience because of its chocolate base. However, people who want a little more also satisfied due to its cocoa flavor mixing perfectly with cream cheese frosting.

Libra (September 23 – October 22): Libras are all about balance and harmony, which means they should love chocolate peanut butter cupcakes. The savoriness of the peanut butter is the perfect foil for the sweetness of the chocolate. It’s a match made in cupcake heaven!

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Mysterious and elusive, Scorpios see things us mere mortals don’t detect, which makes a honey lavender cupcake the perfect choice for them. On the surface, it’s a typical vanilla cupcake. But one bite tells a different story when you taste the honey and lavender infused into the cupcake. 

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Sagittarians looking for their next adventure should look no further than the bourbon maple banana cupcake, which is banana cake infused with Bourbon maple syrup, topped with maple buttercream. So many different flavors mixed together to deliver deliciousness we all crave!

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Capricorns are patient and unerringly dedicated in their missions which makes the chocolate ganache cupcake perfect for them. This cupcake is meant for the pure chocolate fan. It is 100% pure chocolate with no buttercream or other flavor to distract you. 

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): According to Allure, Aquarians are dedicated to making the world a better place. This happens to be my sign, and I love this description because I really do try to make the world a better place by putting more joy into the world with my books. Oh yeah, my favorite cupcake flavor is cookies ‘n’ cream. These cupcakes are pure joy personified!

Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Pisces understand and embrace both the fantasies and realities of life, the what-could-bes and the what-is, which is why they should love salted caramel cupcakes. The saltiness in the buttercream frosting mixes beautifully with the caramel’s sweetness, creating a balanced, delicious concoction.
