Audiobook review: Sweep of the Heart by Ilona Andrews Unlike the previous books in this series, this is the first time I’ve reread Sweep of the Heart, so I opted for the unabridged audiobook. The story opens a while after the previous adventures, with Sean and Dina settled as the Innkeepers of Gertrude Hunt. The […]
Audiobook review: Sweep with Me [Dramatized Adaptation] by Ilona Andrews Picking up immediately after the conclusion of One Fell Sweep (book 3), and running parallel in time with Maud’s book (Sweep of the Blade, book 4) Sweep with Me takes readers back to Gertrude Hunt, the magical Inn for space travelers, where werewolf Sean is […]
Audiobook review: Sweep of the Blade [Dramatized Adaptation] by Ilona Andrews The Innkeeper Chronicles is probably my favorite book series. This is the fourth time I’ve read Sweep of the Blade. As with the re-reads of the earlier books, I continue to enjoy the series and books more and more with each reading. I also […]

You can find my original ebook review here, as well as reviews of the original unabridged audiobook and the dramatized adaptation (both reviews on Goodreads). I found […]

Audiobook review: Clean Sweep [Dramatized Adaptation] by Ilona Andrews The Innkeeper Chronicles is probably my favorite book series. This is the fourth time I’ve read Clean Sweep. You can find my original ebook review here, as well as the original unabridged audiobook review, and the dramatized adaptation (both reviews on Goodreads). I found that my […]
Audiobook review: Steel’s Edge by Ilona Andrews Steel’s Edge, the fourth and final book in The Edge series, is definitely my favorite of the bunch! The story feels more like the Ilona Andrews’s writing that I know and love (when compared with the first three books). The humor is on the mark. The post-fight scene […]
Audiobook review: Fate’s Edge by Ilona Andrews The third Edge story, Fate’s Edge, features Kaldar Mar, the swindling, grifting cousin of Cerise, the previous book’s heroine. The story is set two years after the second book, with Kaldar working for the Adrianglian spy network, the Mirror, hoping to exact revenge on Spider and the Hand […]
Audiobook review: Bayou Moon by Ilona Andrews Similar to my reading of On the Edge, Bayou Moon is a re-read but I didn’t remember much of what happened. The story opens two years after the conclusion of On the Edge, where we find William living a solitary life in the Edge. He is recruited by […]
Audiobook review: On the Edge by Ilona Andrews On the Edge is a re-read for me; I first listened to the audiobook in 2016. I really didn’t remember the story, so it was like starting all over again. I love the creativity of the world, which is unique and interesting. Rose is a solid, everyday […]
Audiobook review: Scourged by Kevin Hearne Having read this series previously, I knew this was coming. The difference this time: I’ve read subsequent novellas and the Ink & Sigil spinoff series, plus time has passed, and I’m not as shocked by the events of Scourged. I came at the story from a different place, and […]
Audiobook review: Staked by Kevin Hearne Staked opens with Atticus in Toronto, a place he swore he’d never visit again. He’s there to steal the list of all vampires in the world. We finally learn what happened when he was in Toronto years ago, under the name of Nigel. Meanwhile, Granuaile is in Asgard with Oden, working […]
Audiobook review: Shattered by Kevin Hearne Shattered opens with the exciting addition of Atticus’s arch-druid, Owen, fresh off one of the time islands and unaware of the millennia that have past. As Atticus and Oberon work to acclimate Owen to the twenty-first century, Granuaile takes her own Druidic journey, heading to India to meet up with Latcha […]
Audiobook review: Hunted by Kevin Hearne The opening of Hunted starts with a bang, and the pace of the story moves rather quickly throughout the book. Continuing the storyline from the previous book, Atticus, Granuaile, and Oberon are on the run. The book opens with some rather surprising news confessed by the Morgain to Atticus, causing both […]
Audiobook review: Trapped by Kevin Hearne Twelve years have past since the last book, and Granuaile has finished her Druidic apprenticeship. While looking for a safe place to bind her to Gaia, Atticus discovers that Loki is free and the Olympian pantheons are plotting his demise. It even appears that someone within the Tuatha Dé Danann is […]
