Audiobook review: Platform Decay by Martha Wells Murderbot is back!! Picking up an indeterminate time (but not too long) after the conclusion of the previous book (System Collapse), Platform Decay opens with Murderbot on a mission to extract three members of Dr. Mensah’s family from a Barish-Estranza installation. Readers are tossed right into the action […]
Audiobook review: System Collapse by Martha Wells Picking up directly after the events in book 5, Network Effect, System Collapse continues the story of Murderbot and ART along with their respective crews as they try to save colonists on an alien remnant-contaminated planet. I was very confused at first because the series release order is […]
Audiobook review: Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells The story opens with the discovery of a dead human in the mall on the Preservation Station, which is so unlikely that it draws the attention of Murderbot. It continues to anticipate there will be a retaliatory attack by the GrayCris Corporation and needs to determine if an […]
Audiobook review: Network Effect by Martha Wells Network Effect is the fifth story, but the first full-length book in the Murderbot Diaries. I feel like all of the previous books were build up to this amazing adventure. We needed to see MB learn more about itself, how to move among and interact with humans, and […]
Audiobook review: Exit Strategy by Martha Wells Exit Strategy picks up immediately after the conclusion of book 3 with Murderbot on Ship and heading back to the closest station. Audiobook review: All Systems Red by Martha Wells Murderbot has gone rogue, and it doesn’t want the humans to find out. But when the team discovers there is an evil group on planet that is out to kill them, Murderbot allows the truth to come out so it can save the team. Overall, I enjoyed […]
Audiobook review: Steel’s Edge by Ilona Andrews Steel’s Edge, the fourth and final book in The Edge series, is definitely my favorite of the bunch! The story feels more like the Ilona Andrews’s writing that I know and love (when compared with the first three books). The humor is on the mark. The post-fight scene […]
How to Best a Marquess Author: Janna MacGregor Reviewer: Jen Rating: C What I’m Talking About: Note: I read the ebook version until Mid-CHAPTER 13, 41%. At this point, I finished the story via audiobook. Eight years ago, Beth Howell enjoyed the best night of her life when Julian Raleah, Marquess of Grayson, asked for her […]
Audiobook review: The Heretic Royal by G.A. Aiken Picking up immediately after the conclusion of the previous title, The Heretic Royal introduces readers to a slew of new yet familiar characters. Joining the story is none other than Queen Annwyl of Aiken’s Dragon Kin series. Several of the dragons (from the same series) accompanied the […]

The story then quickly jumps to current times where Queen Keely’s troops are rooting out […]

However, before they can do anything, they are summoned to attend Lady Welly on […]
